you'd be surprised what is shot in chicago, I was on call on Jul 1 a few years ago, and my call room overlooked the west side of Chicago as well as downtown Chicago. There were tons of large shells going off all over, from my estimate, at least 5 or 6 inchers, and lots of other great product.

I had watched the fireworks from the Taste of Chicago from like the 60th floor on the observation deck on the Hilton towers was cool seeing them explode below you or even eye level for the big big shells

Funny you posted this. I was just on a SW flight to and from Tampa last week and when we were flying over the city preparing for landing I was thinking, I wonder what the 4th of july has to look like seeing the fireworks from the plane. Now I know!

And yes I saw the TK and a few other "white flash" items. Yes...chicago residents use a lot of big boomers that's for sure.
